Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026 · Privacy Policy · Cookie Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using it.you ("the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and others who access the platform.

2. Use of the Platform

it.you provides free IT tools, reference guides, and educational content. The platform is intended for lawful, personal, and professional use by IT professionals, developers, students, and support teams.

Most tools on it.you run entirely in your browser. No account is required for the majority of tools. Some features (saved tools, tool history, support threads) require a free account.

3. Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or remain inactive for extended periods.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform to conduct, promote, or facilitate illegal activity
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse backend tools, or overwhelm servers
  • Use automated scripts to scrape or mass-query backend tools (DNS, WHOIS, IP lookup) without prior written permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload, submit, or transmit content that contains malware, exploits, or harmful code
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform

5. Intellectual Property

All content on it.you — including tool implementations, guides, design, and branding — is the property of it.you or its content contributors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may share links to any page on it.you. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content, tools, or code without explicit written permission.

User-submitted content (feedback, quiz answers) remains your property. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it to operate and improve the platform.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the results of any tool will be accurate or suitable for your specific purpose.

Always verify critical outputs — such as CIDR calculations, password hashes, or DNS results — with authoritative sources before relying on them in production environments.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, it.you shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any). For free services, this amount is zero.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time via your dashboard or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, contact us. For legal notices, use the same contact form and select "Partnership / press".
