Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026

Our commitment to transparency

it.you is committed to full transparency about how we generate revenue. We believe you have the right to know when content or placement has been paid for, and to trust that our editorial recommendations are genuinely independent.

Current revenue model

At present, it.you does not carry advertising, affiliate links, or sponsored content. The platform is funded directly and provided free of charge. If this changes, this page will be updated before any commercial content goes live.

No ads. No sponsored posts. No affiliate links.

All tool recommendations, guide content, and editorial choices on it.you are made independently, without commercial influence.

What we will always disclose

Should we introduce any commercial relationships in the future, we commit to the following disclosure standards:

Advertising

Any display advertisements will be clearly labelled "Ad" or "Sponsored" and visually distinct from editorial content. We will not use native advertising formats that blur the line between paid and editorial content without clear disclosure.

Affiliate links

If we include links that generate commission when you click or purchase (affiliate links), those links will be marked with an "affiliate link" label or a disclosure notice at the top of the relevant page. Our editorial opinion of linked products will not be influenced by affiliate relationships — if we don't recommend it, we won't link to it.

Sponsored content

We do not accept payment to publish articles, guides, or tool reviews. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the page and will not be presented as editorial opinion.

Paid tool inclusions

We do not accept payment to include tools in our directory or to rank them higher. Tools are listed based on their utility to IT professionals, not commercial arrangements.

Editorial independence

Our editorial team operates independently of any commercial or business development functions. See our Editorial Policy for full details on how content is created, reviewed, and updated.

Questions

If you have questions about our advertising practices or believe you've seen undisclosed commercial content, contact us. We take these concerns seriously.
